Experience and Expertise
Retrotech is an engineering firm that specializes in the design, installation, modernization, and support of automated material handling systems. We hold ourselves accountable for our recommendations and systems performance and follow a rigorous process to define cross functional system requirements, information architecture, and success at the front end of any project we undertake.
For over two decades we've developed methods, technical expertise, and project management skills that create compelling customer value. For example, we can customize our warehouse controls software to meet unique needs. Since it can control any equipment, our customers can select what's best when they need to repair, upgrade or design new Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). And, our software is non-proprietary so Retrotech customers never feel "locked in" to using us when they need to change, repair or update an existing ASRS.
To date we've executed over 300 ASRS projects and commissioned over 20 new greenfield systems—some of which are the largest in North America. Our project experience spans every industry that uses ASRS as a part of their distribution strategy.
Our Process
Our consultative approach delivers unbiased decision support data and recommendations to customers. The data helps make the case for, or against, going forward with a project. And it's in our mutual interest to get to the news, good or bad, as soon as possible.
Before any equipment solutions are discussed, we focus on learning underlying needs. We use a proven design process to gather system requirements, define software architecture and quantify success. We've consistently achieved desired customer outcomes by following this process rigorously. However, it takes more time up front.
