Retrotech Incorporated Inteligent Order Fulfilment Systems

Retrotech is in good company.

Rochester, NY: Retrotech, Inc. was named a Preferred Supplier for automated material handling systems by the Procter & Gamble Company at P&G's first-ever global Supplier Summit. The event was held to recognize and enlist P&G's top suppliers in a collaborative partnership to achieve ambitious corporate revenue growth and sustainability goals.

Retrotech was awarded this distinction because of sustained collaboration with P&G and the recent commissioning of a state-of-the-art distribution center in Lima, Ohio. When P&G decided to consolidate into one hub they leveraged Retrotech technical expertise to design an ACTIV system used at other P&G sites and by other Fortune 50 clients.

The new facility is 1.15 million square feet, or equal to the size of 19 football fields and ranks among the world's largest automated distribution centers. By centralizing operations conducted at 8 satellite warehouse facilities, P&G reduced traffic on local roads by 50%—or 3 million miles each year.

Incredibly, the P&G facility in Lima was constructed and operational in less than a year—18 weeks ahead of schedule. "Usually we dedicate a staff of engineers and project managers to a project of this size" said Laura Reckamp, P&G's North American Distribution Plan Leader. "However, this time we relied on a core team of suppliers. The development of the new distribution center was a seamless effort between the Lima community, P&G employees and key contractors, including Retrotech. Their incredible technology is really the brains of the whole automated distribution center."

"It is a great honor for Retrotech to be recognized as a preferred supplier to the world's best supply chain. We look forward to developing a stronger partnership that supports the business goals and continued growth of our strategic partner," said Burke McCarthy, Director of Marketing & System Sales for Retrotech, Inc.
