Advanced PLC Programmer
Retrotech, a nationally recognized leader in Automated Warehouse modernization is seeking a skilled controls engineer to join our team to work on projects that include designing, programming, testing and commissioning controls programs in the automated material handling environment.

- Experience in automated control systems including, but not limited to, design and programming PLCs, HMIs, and VF drives
- Proficient with ladder logic programming with Rockwell PC applications such as RS Linx, RS NetWorx and RS Logix 5000
- Familiar with Allen Bradley Panelbuilder 32 & Factory talk HMI applications
- Experience with VF drives, specifically AB drives
- Proficiency with PLC networking configurations for Ethernet, DeviceNet, DH+, DF1
- Must be able to follow design and work processes
- Ability to read and understand standard electrical schematics and be skilled in troubleshooting control systems during start up and debug
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel and have a familiarity with AutoCad
- Ability to work independently in addition to working and communicating well with others
- Must pay close attention to detail and quality in order to deliver the best possible product to customers
- Position requires that individual be able to travel - 25% domestic and international
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
- Occasional site visits to client worksites including warehousing operations
- Ability to climb ladders
Experience with the following is beneficial but not required:
- Wonderware or other SCADA/HMI packages
- Siemens PLC’s and HMI’s
- Structured Text and Function Block programming
- Controls and drive applications on Automated Storage and Retrieval Machines
- Controls and drive applications on box or unit load conveyor systems,
- Modicon & Fanuc family PLCs, and related equipment
