New website offers remedy for Pain in the ASRS

ASRSmodernizations.com offers a wealth of information regarding the tools, methods and best practices used to determine what should be repaired or replaced, how to align improvements with the company goals and objectives, and how to go about developing and executing a project plan.

The site uses a mix of video case studies, written case studies and video interviews with Retrotech personnel to clearly communicate the benefits and value of modernizing these aging systems. Additional resources are currently under development and will be added to the site as they are completed.

After months of careful planning among a number of people I am happy to present you with the inaugural post of AutomationNATION the official blog of Retrotech®, Inc.

As our tagline states the purpose of this blog is to provide insights for warehouse professionals.  I hope to accomplish this in two ways:

  1. By providing educational and unbiased information relative to automated material handling, it’s pros and cons
  2. Provide a platform for open and honest discussion regarding #1

You can expect weekly posts from a variety of Retrotech experts representing a diverse range of skills, specialties and view points on topics such as ASRS modernizations, software design, electrical engineering, warehouse control systems, reverse engineering and systems design and integration.

ISM Data Shows Continued Growth

As was the case in July, the August edition of the Institute for Supply Management’s (ISM) Non-Manufacturing Report on Business outperformed its sister report focused on manufacturing. 

The ISM’s index for measuring the sector’s overall health—known as the NMI—was 53.3 in August, up 0.6 percent from July. A reading above 50 represents growth. The report showed growth in the non-manufacturing sector for the 20th consecutive month. Read more »
