ASRS AutoPan Systems
The AutoPAN® S/R System automatically
stores and retrieves pans at fast cycle rates and eliminates
pan trucks, casters, damaged floors, and the maintenance
associated with these items. It improves the overall safety
conditions of your plant by eliminating pan truck movers
who work in proximity of hot pan stacks that can tip over.
Absolute control of pan inventory,
product data, and run information is readily available
to the production team,
plus the AutoPAN® S/R System has the flexibility to be
designed with multiple tier stacking if required. More pan
inventory with minimum space.
The storage and retrieval of pans
and the maintaining of pan flow in the system is accomplished
with the automatic
pan stacker and un-stacker coupled with the AutoPAN® S/R
System. It takes pans from the pan stacker interface conveyor,
transports them to onto the pan un-stacker interface conveyor.
The S/R Machine moves horizontally across the front of the
racks servicing both sides of the aisle.
The rails used
to store the pans serve as tracks for the Rack Vehicle.
The Rack Vehicle (RV), located
on-board the S/R Machine, transfers off the S/R Machine
into the rack storage position. The RV lifts and transports
the
load of pans back to the S/R Machine. The S/R Machine moves
to the location in front of the un-stacker The load of
pans are then transported by the RV and placed onto the
un-stacker
interface conveyor. The process is then repeated, keeping
the un-stacker charged with pans.
After the pan stacker builds a load of pans, it discharges
the load onto the stacker interface conveyor. The S/R Machine
moves to the stacker interface conveyor and retrieves the
load. The S/R Machine then travels to a pre-determined rack
address and deposits the pan load at the appropriate location.
The programming of the AutoPAN® S/R System allows your
bakery to maintain inventory control over the location of
its various pans.

AutoPan Programming
The programming of the AutoPAN® S/R System allows
your bakery to maintain inventory control over the location
of its various pans.
In Today's baking environment, management
is demanding more in terms of labor savings and flexibility.
The APV/Woodson AutoTRO® S/R System provides real solutions
to problems that before were thought to be impossible to
solve.
The AutoTRO® S/R System provides a compactly-arranged
fermentation room to automatically store and retrieve fermentation
tros (without wheels) stored on multi-levels. The AutoTRO® S/R
System allows access to any tro at any time, as dough conditions
may require, meeting production demands of the highest output
plants.
In most applications, a single S/R Machine with its Rack
Vehicle (RV) can service mixer, divider and storage locations.
These dough-handling systems working in conjunction with
automatic overtilt mixers operate without manual intervention.
The efficiency that this highly-controlled dough makeup center
can provide for your bakery will be the edge that you are
looking for in performance and quality.
With the proper layout, engineering
and compact design, the AutoTRO® S/R System will fit
into the majority of existing plants.
The AutoTRO® S/R System is comprised
of an S/R Machine with its RV, Dumpers and Storage Racking.
The S/R Machine is a floor-running, top-guided machine which
operates in the fermentation area automatically via computer
control. The S/R Machine moves horizontally and vertically
along a crane rail allowing access to any tro at any time.
After the S/R Machine positions itself at a designated rack
location, the RV, located on board the S/R Machine, travels
into the rack location, positions under the tro, the RV top
elevates, lifts the tro, and retrieves it onto the S/R Machine.
Once onboard, the tro is transported to the mixer, divider
and storage locations as required.
A typical dough cycle is as follows: The S/R Machine retrieves
an empty tro from a storage position and delivers it to the
sponge mixer, where the sponge is dumped into the tro. The
full sponge dough tro is retrieved by the S/R Machine and
delivered to a storage position for fermentation. When the
sponge is ready for mixing, the S/R Machine retrieves the
tro and delivers it to a final mixer. The tro is dumped into
the mixer and when empty, moved to the bottom of the mixer
to receive the final dough. The full, final dough tro is
retrieved by the S/R Machine and delivered to the bread or
bun divider. The tro is dumped into the divider and when
empty, returned by the S/R Machine to a storage position
for later use. Benefits

with manual handling
- No tro hoist required
- Automatically stores, retrieves
and dumps the sponge and dough in and out of the mixers
and dividers
